COLOR/PAINT

I enjoyed reading the article entitled CHROMA. Each of the designers that were interviewed had their own opinion about COLOR, for example the Campanas preferred natural colors compared to Geiger who takes color to the extreme.  He chooses the color from the start then places it on a shape and may juxtipose that color with another.
The Bouroullecs refer to COLOR as a skin and prefer subduing colors with grey.  It was interesting they acknowledge that consumers prefer the colors of black and white and shades of brown and green.

PLASTIC LAMINATES

This is an example of plastic used in commercial signage.  Plastic adhesive letters are mounted on a background then protected by another piece of plastic to display the occupants' name and office number.  The sign is then mounted on clay colored BRICK. Plastic letters are also placed on the plate glass window.

COLOR/PAINT

The office for the Interior Design Program is a jolt of color not to be ignored.  The saturated yellow, pink and green colors of the office are repeated in the Design Library as well to link the two rooms.
